We’re seeking a highly motivated and energetic Product Manager to lead TMS (Transportation Management System) and portal integration projects for new customers.

Role Overview

As the Product Manager for TMS and Portal Integration, you will be at the forefront of delivering impactful solutions to our freight and logistics customers. Leveraging your industry expertise and drive, you’ll manage the onboarding and integration of external TMS platforms and portals into Upwell’s software ecosystem. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to ensure our customers achieve success from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Onboarding and Integration:
    • Spearhead integration projects for new customers, ensuring alignment with operational and technical requirements.
    • Develop and execute detailed onboarding plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Product Ownership:
    • Own the product lifecycle for integration features, ensuring they address customer needs and industry trends.
    • Create comprehensive product requirements, workflows, and user stories for integration-related features.
    • Prioritize product backlog items to optimize customer value and business outcomes.
  • Collaboration:
    • Partner with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, robust integration solutions.
    • Work closely with sales, customer success, and implementation teams to gather customer feedback and refine solutions.
    • Ensure marketing and training teams are equipped with the resources to drive customer education and adoption.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making:
    • Define success metrics and monitor the performance of integration projects.
    • Leverage customer feedback and analytics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Act as the primary escalation point for integration-related challenges, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
    • Provide hands-on support to ensure smooth transitions for customers.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in product management, project management, or implementation in freight, logistics, or supply chain industries.
    • Proven ability to manage software integrations, particularly with TMS platforms.
  • Skills and Traits:
    • Self-motivated and energetic, with a “can-do” attitude and a customer-first mindset.
    • Deep understanding of freight and logistics operations, workflows, and challenges.
    • Strong knowledge of APIs, data mapping, and system integrations.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with TMS platforms, ERP systems, or freight technology tools.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with a strong ability to build rapport and drive results.
