Position Overview

As VP of Engineering, you'll lead our engineering organization, driving the implementation of AI technologies to transform logistics operations. You'll balance technical innovation with practical business outcomes, scaling our platform while maintaining excellence in both traditional engineering and AI integration.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
• Define technical strategy and architecture decisions that enable us to scale our AI-powered logistics platform
• Drive key technology decisions around our stack (NextJS, React, TypeScript) and AI service integrations
• Collaborate with the executive team to align technical initiatives with business strategy
• Oversee the implementation of AI-driven solutions across document processing, rate optimization, and workflow automation
• Build and maintain relationships with key technical partners and vendors
• Establish engineering processes and best practices that enable rapid, reliable delivery
• Manage engineering budget and resource allocation across projects and initiatives

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles
• Track record of building and leading engineering teams of 20+ people
• Experience scaling technical organizations and systems in high-growth environments
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern web technologies
• Proven ability to balance technical innovation with business priorities
• Experience integrating AI/ML technologies into production systems
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to various audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience scaling engineering organizations from seed through major milestones (Series A/B, profitability, or successful exit)
• Track record of building technical organizations in high-growth environments, particularly from 5-10 engineers to 30+
• Experience leading engineering teams in logistics, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS
• Track record of successful AI/ML implementation in production environments
• Deep understanding of logistics industry workflows and challenges
• Experience managing distributed/remote engineering teams
• History of successful vendor and partner relationship management
• Strong perspective on practical AI implementation in enterprise software
• Experience scaling systems handling complex document processing workflows
• MBA or advanced technical degree

Location

Fully remote position with regular travel to team locations and client sites. Must be located in the US.
